On 16 October, the Manchester Camerata will enchant the audience with their performance at the Kodály Centre in Pécs. The orchestra does not only deliver uplifting musical experience to the concert halls, but they have also set up a café in Manchester for people struggling with dementia.
"Manchester Camerata is offering free music therapy sessions for people with dementia and their carers in a café in a Manchester monastery," - the BBC reported. Some of those attending the sessions "can't remember what they had for breakfast, yet they can recall the lyrics to full songs performed in music therapy," reports horn player David Tollington."
