The Orfeo Orchestra and the Purcell Choir form a closely-knit duo of Hungarian early music. At the beginning of March, they will perform in Pécs at the Filharmonia Hungary Master concerts conducted by György Vashegyi. The evening will feature a truly unique composition: the 1724 version of Bach's St. John Passion, with soloists Bernhard Berchtold , Stephan MacLeod, Ágnes Kovács, Eszter Balogh and Zoltán Megyesi.
