The School for the Blind is not only an impressive building but also home to a concert hall and organ that represent a unique color in Budapest’s musical life. Equally significant is the institution itself, which celebrates its 200th anniversary this year. To mark this special occasion, a unique collaboration will take place during the Night of the Organs: organist Ferenc Péterfai, actor Imre Csuja, and the school's Legato Choir will perform together. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to support the school.
The program will feature organ and choral works by composers from the Renaissance to the present day, including organ-accompanied choral pieces. These musical moments will be interwoven with poetry and prose excerpts performed by Imre Csuja. Join us for this rich and moving evening, and contribute to a good cause—ticket revenues will be fully donated by Filharmónia Magyarország to the School for the Blind.
If you are unable to attend the concert but would still like to support the School for the Blind, donations can be transferred to the following bank account: 10024003-00335742-00000017
