At the 2025 edition of the Early Music Days in Vác, we welcome the internationally acclaimed Capricornus Consort Basel. Named after the 17th-century composer Samuel Capricornus, this Swiss ensemble is dedicated to exploring and performing the treasures of early music. Their Vác program focuses on the organ music of Johann Sebastian Bach, featuring a rich selection of preludes, fugues, chorale settings, and trio sonatas — including masterpieces such as the Great Fantasia and Fugue in G minor (BWV 542) and the Pièce d’orgue (BWV 572). This concert offers a deep dive into Bach’s musical universe and promises a truly special experience for seasoned early music lovers and curious newcomers alike.
